2. The details of Information Technology manager: i. The entry requirements for a buisness information technology manager career are different for every job but mainly involve having completed a Year 12 Certificate or equivalent with a T-Major in English, and having completion of a university degree with a major in computer science or information technology. Certificates that can be completed within the area involve:
Certificate IV in Business (Small Business Management)
Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.
Certificate III in Business Administration
Certificate I in Information Technology
Certificate II in Information Technology
Certificate III in Information Technology (General)
Certificate III in Information Technology (Software Applications)
ii. Compltion of these requirements can be done in universities within Victoria such as:
RMIT University
Victoria University iii. Tasks that are involved in an IT buisness management Job include investigating the current and future needs for ICT, using and understanding the ICT policy and using a strategicly direction. You also have to have the understanding and ablity of installation of ICT facilities and subsequent traning. Managing the budget within the organisation and maintaining the requriements for ongoing maintenance and upgrades. Direct the integration of IT operations, computer hardware, operating systems, communications, software applications and data processing, control the security aspects of IT systems and provide advice to other senior managers and boards on IT issues and planning. iv. Job opportunities may include:
